When your boiler stops, you want a straight answer — not a salesman. We look at the fault ourselves, read any error code, check the pressure, the flame and the key components, and tell you what’s actually wrong before we quote. You get a fair price to put it right, agreed up front, so there’s never a surprise bill at the end.
From no ignition and pressure loss to leaks, a faulty diverter valve, a stuck pump, a failed PCB or fan, a frozen condensate pipe or kettling and banging, most common faults are diagnosed and repaired with genuine manufacturer parts. Where a fault is intermittent we’ll explain what we’ve found and what to watch for, rather than just throwing parts at it and hoping.
Sometimes the honest answer is that a repair isn’t worth your money. If the boiler is old and a part such as a heat exchanger has failed, or the part is obsolete and no longer made, the repair can cost more than the boiler is worth — and on a discontinued model the part may be impossible to source at all. When that’s the case we’ll tell you straight, weigh up repair against replacement, and let you decide with the real numbers in front of you instead of patching up a boiler that’s on its way out.
No heat or hot water? Send a photo of your boiler and the fault on WhatsApp and we’ll tell you what’s needed — and for a genuine emergency, we offer out-of-hours call-outs across Leeds.

Common questions, answered straight
Yes. If you’ve no heat or hot water — a boiler that won’t fire, a leak, or a complete breakdown — we offer emergency and out-of-hours call-outs across Leeds, including evenings and weekends, rather than leaving you waiting days for an appointment. Out-of-hours simply means we can come outside normal working hours when it’s a genuine emergency. A few things help while you wait: if you can smell gas, leave the boiler off, open windows and ring the National Gas Emergency line on 0800 111 999; if it’s a leak, turn the boiler off and catch the water. The quickest way to get help from us is to send a photo of the boiler, any error code on the display and a quick description of what’s happening on WhatsApp — we’ll tell you what we think is wrong, what it’s likely to involve and get to you as soon as we can. For non-urgent faults we’ll book a time that suits you.
It depends on the fault and the part involved, so we never quote blind. We diagnose the problem first — reading any error code and checking the boiler properly — then give you a fair, agreed price before doing any work, so you’re never billed for a surprise. A simple fix such as a faulty thermostat or a topped-up pressure is cheaper than replacing a major component like a pump, fan or PCB, and genuine manufacturer parts cost more than copies but last longer and protect any remaining guarantee. If a repair isn’t economical on an older boiler we’ll say so honestly and show you the cost of repair against replacement, so you can make the sensible choice.
You’ll get an honest answer rather than a sales pitch. As a rule of thumb, if the boiler is relatively young and the fault is a single straightforward part, a repair makes sense. If it’s older, has had repeated faults, or needs an expensive component such as a heat exchanger — or the part is obsolete and no longer manufactured — the repair can cost more than the boiler is worth, and you may be better putting that money toward an efficient new one. We’ll diagnose the fault, tell you what the repair would cost and weigh it against a replacement, then leave the decision to you with the real figures in front of you.
Yes — we repair most common makes and models of gas boiler found in Leeds homes, both combi and system boilers. We diagnose the fault, source genuine manufacturer parts where they’re available, and fix it properly rather than fitting a copy part that might fail again. The main exception is an older, discontinued boiler where a key part is obsolete — no longer made by the manufacturer and not available from the usual parts suppliers. When a part can’t be sourced, the boiler simply can’t be repaired to a safe, lasting standard, however willing we are, and the honest answer is that it needs replacing. If we find that’s the case we’ll tell you straight, explain why, and talk you through your options rather than leaving you out of pocket for a fix that was never going to hold. Send a photo of the boiler, its data badge and any fault code showing on the display, and we’ll let you know whether it’s a repair we can carry out and roughly what’s involved.
